As the long-term innovation partner of Aqualisa, PDD has harmonised visual appeal and functionality across the manufacturer's range of showers and helped reduce manufacturing costs. These efforts have raised brand awareness, improved market share and profitability, and satisfied consumers and installation engineers alike.

PDD's award-winning work on Aqualisa's electric showers focused on developing a visual language for the range. A restrained approach to the external detailing of the Quartz Electric helped reflect the quality of the product and to position the brand as stylish and sophisticated. In addition, these refinements complemented the intelligence of the product's functionality and established the Quartz range as the industry benchmark for electric showering. 

For the company's Aquastream power showers, PDD created an inexpensive and easy-to-install product. After analysing Aqualisa's customer data and manufacturing processes, PDD designed a new case structure for the range. This allowed the company to vary the number of features within a unit, while still achieving the necessary safety standards.

For the shower manufacturer's digital products, PDD has focused on the Visage range. Ease-of-use is one of any digital shower's key selling points, since one button-touch engages the thermostatically controlled water stream. This makes the look and feel of the button and its surrounding interface vital, so PDD built visual models to gain valuable feedback and inform further developments. The interface design also took account of cost efficiency and ease of installation, with PDD creating a new yet inexpensive mechanical architecture that is simple to fit and maintain.

Accommodating the needs of installers and consumers, PDD has helped Aqualisa create a shower range that is cost-effective to produce and profitable to sell.

PDD completes its transition to the 2016 version of ISO13485 for Medical Devices.

PDD has completed its planned transition to the latest version of this rigorous international quality assurance standard for medical devices, building on the success of earlier transitions and successful audits to the FDA 21CFR Part 820 in 2015.

A rewarding start to the year!

It’s been a great start to 2016. The first quarter is not yet over and already PDD has 3 new prestigious design awards to its name. PDD’s work with the health & personal care brand Swisslux and the Zyliss kitchenware brand has been awarded with Red Dot design awards. This was followed by a German Design Award for the Testo 870 Thermal Imager.
