Innovative clutch outsells predecessor by over 50%
Spinlock produces high-performance hardware for the yachting market. Following a successful collaboration with PDD on the XA Powercleat, Spinlock approached us when it wanted its XAS Powerclutch.
PDD added a lightweight, high-strength ergonomic handle and body shell and re-engineered the lever action for extra comfort and durability. The XAS is capable of holding loads of up to 575 kg, yet can be released and re-locked easily and quickly. These factors greatly improve the safety and handling of winch-tensioned lines. The XAS gives sailors safe and secure line handling and holding on a wide variety of line materials and diameters.
PDD and Spinlock continued on several product successes. The PX Powercleat won both of the industry’s premier awards, the European Marine Industry Prize for Best Designed Product and the coveted International Boat Industry Marine Product of the Year Award.
